Formerly incarcerated?

PERC (Pathway to Enterprise for Returning Citizens) is one of the first programs of its kind in Illinois seeking to address recidivism through entrepreneurship. Through its partnership with Sunshine Enterprises, PERC offers post-release entrepreneurship training, coaching, mentoring and technology to aid previously incarcerated individuals in launching businesses.
PERC is a multi-collaborative of community partners committed to addressing recidivism through entrepreneurship. An entrepreneurial training and business coaching program to empower high-potential entrepreneurs living in under-resourced neighborhoods. PERC also provides access to loan capital up to $50,000 offered by PERC’s founder, Chicago Neighborhood Initiatives Micro Finance Group (CNIMFG).

PERC entrepreneurs participate in SE’s 12-week Community Business Academy (CBA), business coaching and business acceleration services.

Eligibility Requirements
Served at a State or Federal prison
Have a business idea
Interested in starting a business 21 yrs+
Released from prison or jail within the last 15 years*
